What is Optus Auto Recharge™?

It's a direct debit payment method to recharge your mobile. It ensures you never run out of credit, and allows control of your own spending. Simply set the recharge amount and frequency to suit your own needs.

Who can use it?

Only selected Optus and Boost Pre-Paid Mobile and Prepaid Mobile Broadband customers are eligible to use Optus Auto Recharge™.

How do I set it up?

Step 1: Log into My Account

Step 2: Select your Prepaid Service Number

Step 3: Under the 'I want to' dropdown menu, select 'Set up Auto Recharge'

Step 4: Select your settings, either

  • Optus Auto Recharge -the service is automatically recharged based on a set frequency e.g. Every 30 days; OR
  • Optus Auto Recharge with Low Balance - the service is automatically recharged when you reach a low balance and based on a set frequency.

Step 5: Complete your payment details.

Step 6: Review your details and Submit.

Important information for customers whose Prepaid offer doesn't have the Rollover feature:

If the Optus Auto Recharge™ Low Balance option is chosen, your unused Credit will not roll over if your calling offer is not eligible for rollover. Optus will perform an Auto Recharge whenever your Credit balance reaches $5 and you will lose any unused Credit up to a maximum of $5.

Optus Auto Recharge™: Only active Optus Pre-Paid customers who have MyCredit/Credit balance (Mobile) or Data (Optus Mobile Broadband) available are eligible to register for Optus Auto Recharge™.By agreeing to these terms, Optus will debit your credit card account by the amount you specified when you set up an Optus Auto Recharge™. You can either schedule an Auto Recharge, the frequency of which is determined by your recharge value chosen: either 10 or 30 days for Mobile customers (and 15 or 60 days for Optus Wireless Broadband customers only) or when your MyCredit/Credit balance reaches a designated low balance. If the Auto Recharge and Low Balance option is chosen, we will an perform Auto Recharge low balance whenever your MyCredit/Credit balances reaches $5 or when you have less than 20MB on your Optus Wireless Broadband service. Optus Auto Recharge™ can be cancelled for any matters relating to fraud or doesn't meet Optus Auto Recharge™ assessment criteria or charge backs. However if your service is lost or stolen Optus Auto Recharge™ will not be cancelled automatically. You must cancel your Optus Auto Recharge™ online via My Account. Change of ownership: Optus Auto Recharge™ must be cancelled prior to Change of ownership or Optus Auto Recharge™ will be transferred to the new account holder .No refunds will be made if cancellation of Optus Auto Recharge™ is not made before Change of ownership.     Setting up an account is easy and only takes a few minutes:

    1. Register your details:

      Simply go to payclick.com.au and click on the Join Now button on the top right of the screen – or you choose payclick as your payment option while processing your recharge. We will then take you to the registration page to join and complete your recharge using your payclick account. Once you are at the registration page you will need to provide us with some details including your email, name, address etc – the standard stuff.

      Create a password & choose a personal security icon

      Create your own unique payclick password, which you'll need to enter any time you make a purchase, top up funds in your account or edit your account details. As an extra security feature, we'll ask you to choose a personal security icon – there are 100 to pick from. You will see your chosen icon whenever you are asked to enter your password. It's added re-assurance that the message you are receiving is from payclick.

    2. Verify your account

      Once you've entered your details, created your unique password and chosen your personal security icon, we'll email you and ask you to verify your account and then the registration process is complete.

    3. Add money to your account and start buying!

      You can add money to your payclick account using your credit, debit or prepaid Visa or Mastercard, or from your bank account via BPay or Pay Anyone. Now that's it and you're ready to pay for your Optus Prepaid recharges by clicking on the payclick button on the Optus payment page - and on other seller sites that accept payclick.

    You will need to have a primary account holder (a parent or guardian) who has followed the above steps and set up their account – or they can do it in the process of setting up a sponsored account. The primary account holder sends an email invite to the person they want to sponsor who will be asked to create their own password, pick their security icon and verify their account.

    In just a few minutes Under 18's can have their own payclick account and password, while their parent funds the account and is able to see all payclick transactions.

Step 1: Recharge your account through participating Westpac, ANZ and National Bank ATMs.

To recharge, insert your ATM card and enter your PIN, choose either Other Services, Phone Vouchers, or Products/Services and select the amount to purchase. At the end of the transaction a receipt will be issued with a 10 digit voucher number. Use this number to recharge your service.

Step 2: Call 555 from your mobile.

Step 3: Press option 2.

Step 4: Enter the 10 digit number.
